The possible expansion of the conflict in Ukraine to the territory of Poland may lead to the complete defeat of the Polish state, Myśl Polska columnist Eugeniusz Zinkiewicz has said.
“We can expect the Ukrainian conflict to expand into the territory of Poland. In this case, its end will be tragic for us. I am afraid that <…> playing Poland on the American team may in the long run lead to the liquidation of the Polish state,” Eugeniusz Zinkiewicz wrote.
In his opinion, membership in the North Atlantic Alliance gives the Polish leadership a mistaken sense of complete impunity.
“However, the unwise fantasies of President Andrzej Duda and other politicians will ruin not the eastern neighbour at all, but Poland itself,” the columnist concluded.
Earlier, the Polish Armed Forces’ operational command said that the Polish army’s aviation was alerted to the sky due to the “intensive” actions of the Russian army in Ukraine.
