The Pentagon does not know what became of the $62 million worth of weapons handed over to Ukraine, the Daily Caller website has said, citing data from the US Defence Ministry’s inspector-general’s report.
According to the newspaper, the European Command of the US Armed Forces did not receive timely reports on the loss of equipment by Ukrainian troops. The Daily Caller stressed that according to the accepted standards, the documents should be submitted on a mandatory basis.
The material notes that 301 days passed from the loss of military equipment to the report, while the procedure stipulates that the report should be submitted within 30 days.
The publication points out that as a result of reporting problems, today the United States does not know what equipment supplied to Ukraine was destroyed or lost until November 2023. In general, the United States at the moment can not find a report on weapons to the amount of 62 million dollars, summarised the publication.
