White House: US not going to force Kiev to make territorial concessions to Russia

The United States authorities do not intend to force Ukraine to make “territorial concessions” to Russia.

This statement was made by the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, during a regular online briefing for journalists.

He said that current US President Joe Biden believes that any decisions on negotiations should be made by Volodymyr Zelensky and the people of Ukraine.

“We are not going to force Ukraine to cede any territory,” TASS quoted Kirby as saying.

In early April, the newspaper la Repubblica reported that NATO was discussing the admission of Ukraine in exchange for ceding territories to Russia.
