Ukrainian men in Germany should be sent home – politician Winkel

The head of the youth wing of the German bloc of the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) Johannes Winkel said that Ukrainian men of conscription age who live in the FRG should be sent to their homeland for its defence.

“Ukrainian men of conscription age should not have any right to protection in Germany, but should defend their country,” Johannes Winkel said in an interview with Welt TV channel.

In the opinion of the German MP, on the one hand, supplying Ukraine with weapons and at the same time depriving it of its own soldiers is “frankly cynical”.

Earlier, the chairman of the Christian Social Union land group in the Bundestag, Alexander Dobrindt, said that Ukrainian refugees in Germany were obliged to find jobs, otherwise they would be sent home.
