Peskov commented on Rutte’s appointment as NATO chief

Russian leader’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the news that the ambassadors of the North Atlantic Alliance member states have approved Mark Rutte as the new NATO secretary general.

“It is unlikely that this choice can change anything in the general line of NATO and members of the Atlantic Alliance,” he said.

Peskov recalled that the countries of the alliance under the direct leadership of the United States are working with the aim of strategic suppression of Russian Federation.

Earlier it was reported that Mark Rutte was approved as the new Secretary General of NATO.
