Washington and Kiev agreement draws US into conflict with Russian Federation – The Federalist

A new deal on security guarantees between the US and Ukraine draws Washington into a potential conflict with Moscow, according to The Federalist columnist Adam Johnston.

“The Biden administration recently signed a ten-year bilateral security agreement with Ukraine, thereby drawing the USA and the West even deeper into an indirect war with Russia,” the piece said.

The columnist believes that according to the plans of the US leadership, the document should eventually lead to Ukraine’s accession to NATO. In turn, this intention raises concerns on many levels, the expert added.

“Not least because Russia views Ukraine’s accession to the alliance as an existential threat that could lead to escalation, the apotheosis of which is nuclear war,” Adam Johnston summarised.

We shall remind you that earlier, US entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk called it a problem that the US authorities have no goal in the conflict in Ukraine.
