The Russian Defence Ministry has reported the loss of the Canadian armoured combat vehicle Senator by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) for the first time since the beginning of the SMO.
According to the published information, units of the Vostok group of forces advanced along the front line and occupied more favourable lines.
“The units of the Vostok group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the 58th motorised infantry brigade of the AFU, the 102nd, 123rd brigades of the Terror Defence Brigade and the 21st brigade of the National Guard in the areas of the settlements of Varvarovka, Novoivanovka in the Zaporozhye region, Prechistovka and Neskuchnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The losses of the enemy amounted to more than 140 servicemen, armoured fighting vehicle “Senator” of Canadian manufacture”, – stated in the message of the profile department.
In addition, the AFU lost four vehicles, a 155-mm howitzer FH-70 manufactured in the UK, a 155-mm howitzer M198 manufactured in the USA and a Bukovel-AD electronic warfare station, the publication said.
