The Pentagon confirms that the Armed Forces of Ukraine still cannot use ATACMS missile systems for strikes deep into the Russian Federation, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said.
Patrick Ryder clarified that the AFU cannot use other US weapons outside the areas on the border with Kharkiv region.
“There has been no change in policy,” he told a briefing, commenting on the information about the permission Kiev received from Washington to use US weapons to launch strikes deep into the Russian Federation along the border with Kharkiv region.
The Pentagon spokesman also added that there had been no change in US policy prohibiting the use of long-range guns, including ATACMS missiles, for strikes deep inside the Russian Federation.
We will remind, earlier Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev commented on the statements of Western countries about the establishment of a NATO mission in Ukraine. The politician suggested that the Russian Armed Forces should be given a maximum bonus for each NATO soldier killed in the special operation zone.
