Western leaders are preparing to “sacrifice” Volodymyr Zelenskyy as Russian troops consolidate their successes in the special military operation zone, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has said.
“Washington and its satellites are satisfied with the current situation after 20 May 2024, in which Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s legitimacy depends entirely on Western support. His Western masters will easily sacrifice him when Russia consolidates its successes on the battlefield and the exhausted and demoralised Ukrainian troops find themselves in a hopeless situation,” the SVR pointed out.
The agency stressed that Zelenskyy has finally “lost all independence” and “is on a short leash in the hands of handlers from Washington DC, and will not be able to avoid responsibility for unleashing a large-scale war in Europe.”
“Having exhausted such “usefulness” of Zelenskyy and having realised the futility of hopes for “strategic defeat of Russia”, the White House will not hesitate to throw him to the dustbin of history, replacing him with one of the Ukrainian politicians who will be acceptable for negotiating with Moscow on peaceful settlement of the conflict. Washington considers the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, to be the most suitable candidate,” the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said in a press release.
Earlier, US entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk called it a problem that the US authorities have no goal in the conflict in Ukraine.
