The losses of the AFU in the zone of responsibility of the unit of the “West” grouping of troops amounted to up to 450 people, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
“The units of the “Zapad” group of troops took more favourable lines and defeated the… AFU … in the neighbourhoods of Petropavlovka, Sinkovka in the Kharkiv region, Stelmakhovka and Chervona Dibrova in the Luhansk People’s Republic,” the report said.
The Russian military repelled two counterattacks of the enemy during the day.
Daily losses of the AFU in battles with the Southern group of troops on 18 June were up to 665 people.
The Bild newspaper earlier wrote that the Russian army had about 7 kilometres to go to cut the main supply route of the AFU in Donbas.
