Ambassador says Estonia ready to discuss sending its military to Ukraine

Estonia is ready to discuss sending its military to Ukraine, it is not a red line for Tallinn, Estonian ambassador to Kiev Anneli Kolk said in a conversation with Ukrainian journalists.

“We said we are ready to discuss it. This is not a red line for us,” RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.

The Baltic republic’s defence ministry is discussing the issue, trying to work out a common position with NATO and the European Union, Kolk said. The interlocutor added that, according to the Estonian military, “nothing is impossible.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that any foreign weapons and any foreign mercenaries, not only Estonian ones, would become a target of the Russian Armed Forces if they appeared in Ukraine.
