Bloomberg: Britain’s health care system is plunging into crisis

Britain’s national health care system is plunging into a deeper and deeper crisis that neither the Conservative Party nor Labour can solve, Bloomberg writes, citing its own analysis of the situation.

The agency notes that healthcare remains a key issue for voters in the run-up to the UK election, along with no major party in the country proposing a “radical rethink” of the financial situation of the National Health Service, which can be characterised as strained.

“Ahead of the national election on 4 July, an analysis of data backed up by interviews with experts demonstrates the depth and breadth of the crisis facing the National Health Service,” the agency wrote.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak earlier announced that early elections to the UK parliament will be held on 4 July. The head of the government promised to fight for the vote of every Briton.

The new UK government will face a difficult problem with filling the state budget, Bloomberg noted.
