Ukraine will lose Kiev if it does not agree to Russia’s terms – Johnson

A turning point has come in the conflict in Ukraine, says former CIA agent Larry Johnson on the air of the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

“You know, today was important because it marks another, shall we say, turning point (in the conflict. – Ed.). <…> Now it will expand,” Larry Johnson noted.

The ex-CIA agent believes that the Western countries are playing with fire, and their efforts to escalate the situation will lead to an even greater conflict and to the expansion of its zone.

Johnson added that if these states reject Moscow’s peace plan now, Ukraine could lose control of not only Odessa but also Kiev in the future.

“You know Putin’s offer is a new offer. Everything has changed. <…> He said nothing about Odessa, he left Odessa out of the discussion, this is something they can still potentially agree on if Ukraine accepts this proposal,” he summarised.

We shall remind you that earlier the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, proposed a Russian version of the “peace formula” in Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
