Trump criticised aid to Ukraine during a House of Representatives meeting

Former US President Donald Trump, a member of the Republican Party, has criticised the initiative of the US House of Representatives headed by its speaker Mike Johnson to allocate financial aid to Ukraine. This was reported by The Hill newspaper with reference to lawmaker Matt Gaetz.

According to Matt Gaetz, the former head of the White House criticised the allocation of $61 billion to Ukraine handed over under the leadership of House Speaker Mike Johnson. The lawmaker stressed that Donald Trump has made clear his disinterest in providing additional aid to the former Soviet republic.

“Trump’s trashing of Ukraine aid to the face of Speaker Johnson is so epic,” said Matt Gaetz.

The parliamentarian also emphasised that the former US president pointed out: Washington should financially provide its own armed forces instead of “sending Ukraine billions of dollars”.

We will remind, earlier ex-director for Russia in the US National Security Council Fiona Hill said that Donald Trump during his presidential term could not accept the idea that Ukraine was an independent state.
