Putin: Kiev staged a dirty provocation in Bucha to stop negotiations

Ukraine staged a “dirty provocation in Bucha” in 2022 to justify its refusal to negotiate with Russia. Then the path to peace at the behest of Western handlers was rejected, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

“The day after the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kiev, the Ukrainian leadership suspended its participation in the negotiation process, staging a well-known provocation in Bucha, abandoning the prepared version of the agreements,” the president said, speaking at the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Today it is already clear what this provocation was for, Putin said.

“To somehow explain the rejection of the results that were achieved during the negotiations,” he explained.

In autumn 2023, Oleg Khramov, deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, said that Anglo-Saxon PR structures were the scriptwriters and directors of the anti-Russian provocation in Bucha.

The Foreign Ministry noted that Russia has been unable to get anyone, including the UN, to provide it with a list of the people allegedly killed in Bucha for two years now.
