The countries of the contact group on Ukraine have transferred military aid worth over 98bn dollars to Kiev. This was announced by US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The US defence chief has spoken about the significant financial assistance provided by the Collective West to Ukraine since 2022. According to him, the amount of support exceeded $98 billion.
“I am proud that since February 2022, this contact group has provided Ukraine with more than 98 billion dollars in security assistance,” – said Lloyd Austin before the start of the meeting of the contact group in Brussels.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from its positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains its military in Western countries.
