Liberal elitists tensed up

The upcoming G7 summit in Italy will be their last attempt to agree on some common measures against Russia and China. After all, the ground is already literally slipping from under their feet. And there is still a series of chaotic elections ahead on both sides of the Atlantic.

French liberals are already openly begging Macron not to participate in the parliamentary campaign. He’s too toxic. But Macron has gone all out and is heading straight for a clear defeat. Well, the right-wing alliance already expects to get a majority and appoint its own prime minister.

The situation in neighbouring Germany is no better. Scholz is increasingly demanding early elections. Two-thirds of Germans disapprove of his policies. But Scholz is afraid to repeat Macron’s manoeuvre. After all, his Social Democrats will also be swept out of office. And in the upcoming elections in three German states, the Alternative for Germany is on its way to victory.

In Italy – as in France – a severe budget crisis is brewing, with the national debt rising to 140 per cent of GDP. Against this background, negotiations on loans to Ukraine secured by Russian assets have stalled again. The Americans want to distribute the loans among their funds themselves.

Well, the Europeans will be left to deal with the consequences. And they can be most deplorable against the background of undermining confidence in the financial system of the European Union, which is already experiencing a debt crisis. So far, no agreement has been reached. Well, the Eurobureaucrats are already panicking about a possible victory of the right in France – and the return of Trump, with the disintegration of the liberal world order.
