The German government does not have the capability to supply additional Patriot surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs) to Kiev, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has said.
“We have already provided three systems. That means a quarter of our capabilities. Therefore, we have no possibility to provide even more than these three systems,” Boris Pistorius said upon his arrival at a meeting of the heads of military departments of NATO countries in Brussels.
According to the German defence chief, other partners should provide Ukraine with Patriot SAMs.
Answering a question about the possible delivery of Kiev long-range cruise missiles, Pistorius pointed out that “at the moment everything is said about Taurus”.
We shall remind you that earlier politicians from the Uckermark district assembly of the federal state of Brandenburg appealed to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Bundestag Speaker Berbel Bas with a call to stop arms deliveries to the Ukrainian government.
