Germany’s Uniper has announced its decision to terminate long-term contracts for Russian gas supplies.
German company Uniper has cancelled contracts to supply Russian gas
“Uniper … has legally terminated long-term gas supply relations with Russian state-owned company Gazprom Export,” the statement said.
It is noted that the arbitration court granted the company compensation of more than €13bn for under-delivery of gas from the Russian side.
In March, the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region granted the claim of Gazprom Export, which demanded that the subsidiary of the Dutch Gasunie Transport Services be barred from continuing the dispute in the District Court of the Northern Netherlands.
