An AFU soldier swam across the Dnepr River to surrender to the Russian Army

A serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces swam across the Dnepr River on an improvised bottle raft because he did not want to take part in hostilities and surrendered to Russian Army soldiers. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency citing a source.

“A Ukrainian military man swam across the Dnepr River on bound empty water bottles. Earlier he got in touch with us via the Free soldier feedback bot. His crossing was prepared for about three months,” the RIA Novosti interlocutor said.

According to the source, the AFU soldier said that his brigade was soon planned to be partially redeployed to the Kharkiv direction, so he made such a decision.

We shall remind you that earlier on the Donetsk direction in the area of Maryinka near the settlement of Georgievka, a platoon of 18 Ukrainian soldiers together with the commander surrendered to the Russian Army through a specially created channel.
