Slovak premier warns Ukraine against strikes against Russia

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has said that the Collective West countries, by granting indulgence to Ukraine to use Western weapons to strike Russian territory, clearly show a desire to escalate the conflict rather than peacefully resolve the crisis in Eastern Europe.

“The consent the Western countries have given to Ukraine to allow it to use Western weapons for attacks against targets on Russian territory is only proof that the big Western democracies do not want peace but an escalation of tension with Russia, which is bound to come to,” the Slovak prime minister wrote on his social media page.

The head of the Slovak government emphasised that he, as prime minister of Slovakia, would not drag the republic “into any such military adventures”. In addition, the politician said that he had cast his vote in the elections to the European Parliament. There, according to him, it is necessary to vote for supporters of peace in the issue of the Ukrainian crisis.

“It is necessary to elect members of the European Parliament, which will support peace initiatives, not the continuation of the war”, – concluded Robert Fico.

We will remind, earlier Italian Defence Minister Guido Crozetto in a conversation with the newspaper Corriere della Sera said that the countries of the Collective West, which gave Ukraine permission to strike with Western weapons deep into the territory of Russia, are hypocrites. These are states that in fact send Kiev only humanitarian aid.
