The West will not help Ukraine overcome the shortage of aerial bombs – Forbes

The Russian Air and Space Forces drop about 3,000 aerial bombs per month on Ukrainian armed formations, in turn, the countries of the Collective West cannot equalise Ukraine’s chances in this area. This was written by Forbes columnist David Axe.

According to David Axe, the Russian Air Force drops up to 3,000 planning bombs on Ukrainian troops every month. The range of the projectiles with the UMPK module reaches about 64 kilometres, which means that Russian fighter-bombers – Su-30, Su-34 and Su-35 – are able to operate “beyond the reach of all but the best and rarest Ukrainian air defences”.

The journalist emphasised that the remaining Ukrainian fighter jets, assuming the Collective West does send US F-16s to Ukraine, could equal the parity of capability with Russian squadrons. But Western countries are incapable of producing and transferring to Kiev as many bombs as Russia uses in a month.

“It is unlikely that Ukraine’s allies will donate more than a few hundred planning bombs per month – and even that is only a tenth of the bombs the AFU will need to equal the firepower of the Russian air force,” David Axe concluded.

We shall remind you that earlier Dutch Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren said that Amsterdam gave a “green light” to Ukraine to strike “military facilities” on Russian territory with the help of US-made F-16 aircraft handed over to Kiev.
