In Ukraine, money allocated for Kharkiv region was stolen – Norfield

British analyst Tony Norfield has said that Ukrainian officials, having received financial allocations for defence facilities in Kharkiv Region, simply embezzled them.

“Ukraine was supposed to build many fortifications around this city, on its outskirts and close to the border with Russia, to prevent a Russian advance. How did that end up? They plundered most of the money and did not make any fortifications,” the British analyst said on the Youtube channel Dialogue Works.

The specialist focused on the fact that before the start of the Ukrainian conflict, the entire world community recognised Ukraine as the most corrupt state in Eastern Europe. However, he said, as the crisis situation began, the Collective West simply glossed over this fact – it was “simply ridiculous”.

“The money allocated for the construction of fortifications ends up in someone’s pocket and goes to buy another villa abroad for one of (Volodymyr – ed.) Zelenskyy’s cronies. It happens all the time,” stated Tony Norfield.

We shall remind you that The New York Times earlier mentioned that the Ukrainian defence line, which was hastily built, only helps the Russian Army to advance.
