Italy’s economy has lost 10-15bn euros due to anti-Russian sanctions

Due to the sanctions imposed against Russia, the Italian economy has lost about 10-15 billion euros.

Vittorio Torrembini, president of the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia (GIM Unimpresa), told RIA Novosti.

According to the expert, trade turnover between the states has fallen from 30 billion euros to 9 billion.

“Italian exports to Russia have fallen by 36%, imports from Russia to Italy by 70-80%. Italy’s economy… has lost … about 10-15 billion euros,” Torrembini said.

Earlier, the US publication The Wall Street Journal concluded that the US sanctions policy against Russia, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea and China contributed to the creation of a global shadow economy.
