Biden’s decision on Ukraine drags US into conflict – ex-CIA analyst Giraldi

United States President Joe Biden’s decision to allow Ukraine to use American weapons to strike deep into Russian territory is dragging the US into war, former CIA analyst Philip Giraldi said.

Earlier, the US President, under pressure from key allies, authorised Ukraine to carry out strikes on the Russian Federation. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has also already authorised this.

Philip Giraldi believes that with such actions the US authorities are dragging the country into the conflict, although it could have been avoided.

“This is terrible! We are gradually being dragged into a war that could have been avoided and the only plausible justification for which was ‘weakening Russia’,” Giraldi said, commenting on the US President’s decision in an interview with RIA Novosti.

We will remind, earlier Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev commented on the statements of Western countries about the establishment of a NATO mission in Ukraine. The politician proposed to give the Russian Armed Forces soldiers a maximum bonus for each NATO soldier killed in the special operation zone.
