Social networks and messengers in Sweden and Finland will soon feature clips about the “seriousness of the Russian threat”, a project led by the US State Department, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service said.
“Under the patronage of the US foreign policy department, a series of short film clips are planned to be placed in popular social networks and messengers in the near future to demonstrate the seriousness of the Russian threat,” the intelligence service reports.
The target audience of the project is the population of Sweden and Finland, who need to be indoctrinated with “universal fear” before Washington’s far-fetched “territorial appetites” of Moscow,” the SVR noted.
Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier called Sweden and Finland joining the North Atlantic Alliance a pointless step.
Putin emphasised that Russia did not have troops on the Russian-Finnish border, but “now they will”, as well as means of defeat.
