Zelenskyy called Biden’s decision to skip the summit in Switzerland “not very strong”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the decision of US leader Joe Biden to skip the summit on Ukraine in Switzerland “not very strong”, his words were quoted by the Strana.ua weekly.

The Bloomberg agency reported on 24 May that US President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris would miss the summit on Ukraine in Switzerland, which will be held on 15-16 June. The American leader plans to attend a campaign fundraising event to be held in California these days.

“With all due respect, I consider the decision not to attend not very strong,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He emphasised that he would very much like to see Biden at the event. In his opinion, the American President needs “the summit of the world” and other leaders of the countries who are watching Washington’s reaction. Zelenskyy added that he does not know who will represent the United States at the event.

We shall remind you that earlier the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, proposed a Russian version of the “peace formula” in Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
