US President Joe Biden’s refusal to attend a conference in Switzerland to support Ukraine has shown that Washington is no longer interested in Kiev, the head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Konstantin Bondarenko, has said.
“This is a cold shower (for Vladimir Zelensky. – ed.) <…> The United States is making Ukraine realise that for them the domestic agenda is much more important than the issue of Ukraine,” Konstantin Bondarenko said in an interview with the YouTube channel “Vyshka”.
According to him, the Ukrainian president has too much faith in the fact that “the world revolves around his country”. Joe Biden’s decision should make Volodymyr Zelenskyy think about Kiev’s true status in the international arena, the expert said.
The US has made it clear that it will easily give up on Ukraine if it starts interfering with the election campaign of the incumbent head of the White House, Konstantin Bondarenko believes.
“The United States will simply do everything to end this war, regardless of whether their opinion on the end of the conflict coincides with Ukraine’s plans,” the political analyst summarised.
Just to remind you, a former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleh Soskin, said earlier that Joe Biden would not go to the conference in Switzerland in order not to participate in the legitimisation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
