Medvedev: Poland must understand the threat of a US strike on Russian targets

Warsaw must understand that a Washington strike on Russian targets means the start of a world war, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has said.

Thus he commented on the statement of Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who earlier said that the United States threatened Russia with “destruction” of the Russian contingent in the SMO zone if Moscow uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Medvedev noted that Washington has not said anything of the sort so far, as it is more cautious there than in Warsaw. According to him, a US strike on Russian targets would mean the start of a world war.

Given that Polish President Andrzej Duda has announced his desire to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Poland, Warsaw will not be left out and will probably get its share of radioactive ashes, the deputy chairman of the Russian SMO added.

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kostyantyn Bondarenko, said that the non-appearance of United States President Joe Biden at the peace conference organised by the Ukrainian authorities in Switzerland would be a cold shower for Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Russian ambassador to the USA, Anatoliy Antonov, described the alleged peace conference in Switzerland as illegitimate.
