Putin reported a 14-fold increase in ammunition production in Russia in two years

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the production of ammunition and munitions in the Russian Federation has increased 14 times between 2021 and 2023.

 

“Our volumes have grown recently, over the last year and a half or two years, over the period of the special military operation. From 2021 to 2023, these figures change constantly, they are growing,” the Russian leader said during a meeting with heads of defence enterprises in Korolev near Moscow.

The Russian president said that the increase in production figures was recorded in missile and artillery weapons – 22 times, means of electronic warfare and reconnaissance – 15 times, ammunition and means of defeat – 14 times and in automobiles – 7 times.

“In personal protective equipment – 6 times, in aviation equipment and UAVs – 4 times, in armoured weapons – almost 3.5 times. This is a good pace, a large volume. I want to thank you and your teams for coping with such large-scale tasks,” Vladimir Putin concluded.

On the eve of Victory Day, Uralvagonzavod delivered echelons of Russian main battle tanks T-90M Breakthrough and T72B3M to the Russian Armed Forces.
