Ukraine provokes NATO members to clash with Russia – Antonov

The government of Ukraine sees its goal as provocation of the United States and other NATO member states to achieve a clash between Russia and members of the alliance. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov, commenting on the calls of American politicians to grant permission to Kiev to use weapons from the United States to strike deep into Russian territory.

“Such provocative statements are extremely dangerous and reckless. The calls of Russophobes mean only one thing – further US involvement in the conflict in Ukraine on the side of the agonising Zelensky regime,” the Russian diplomatic mission quoted Anatoly Antonov in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the level of “hysterical reaction” to the successes of Russian troops on the front in Washington is growing exponentially not by the day, but by the hour.

“Politicians and lawmakers continue to test our patience. Every day we hear new proposals to expand military aid to the Kiev junta. It is obvious that the main thing for Kiev is to provoke the United States, as well as other NATO countries, into rash actions and to achieve a head-on collision between Russia and the bloc’s members,” the ambassador added.

He pointed out that this is how one should consider the ideas of using long-range US systems against Russian civilians, primarily women, children and the elderly.

“To this we should also add the pushing of Western states to shoot down aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces. Let me emphasise: the Kiev regime has long failed to ask permission from its Western masters for war against civilian targets on Russian territory. Barbaric raids with the use of deadly NATO military-industrial complex products are carried out on our country on an almost regular basis,” Antonov concluded.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
