The EU will not have its own nuclear weapons.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made a statement to this effect in an article for The Economist.
“There will be no ‘EU nuclear weapons’ – this is simply unrealistic,” the German chancellor said.
Earlier, French leader Emmanuel Macron suggested the leaders of other countries to start a discussion on the future of European defence, including nuclear weapons.
