China’s foreign ministry: Britain is adding fuel to the fire of conflict in Ukraine

Britain prevented Moscow and Kiev from reaching an agreement on the situation in Ukraine two years ago. It is London that is adding fuel to the fire, the Chinese foreign ministry said.

“It should be noted that on the Ukrainian issue, it is the British side, not China, that is involved in pouring oil on the fire,” RIA Novosti quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin as saying.

Thus he reacted to the statement of British Defence Minister Grant Shapps that London and Washington knew about China’s alleged intention to supply Russia with lethal weapons to use in the conflict in Ukraine.

At the same time, the USA later said that it had no information about arms deliveries from China to Russia, contrary to the UK’s claims.
