The political analyst commented on the US intention to allow Ukraine to launch strikes against Russia

Political analyst Elvina Seitova believes that the administration of US President Joe Biden, amid a rapid decline in the White House chief’s approval rating, may allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory using US weapons, but this could lead to “ashes” in the United States.

According to Elvina Seitova, Kiev has previously “falsely and criminally” shelled both Donbas and Crimea with foreign weapons. The political analyst noted that now, apparently, we are talking about strikes deep into Russia.

“After all, there are already sounding thoughts allegedly that oil refineries and airfields are “legitimate” military targets. We have an obvious desire for escalation,” she stressed in a commentary to RIA Novosti.

The agency’s interlocutor emphasised that so far the Pentagon and the White House have refrained from officially authorising such actions.

“But given Biden’s falling ratings, they may decide to take desperate steps,” the political analyst specified.

At the same time, the expert said that it should not be forgotten that Russian Federation “can and will have to take retaliatory steps” to such an escalatory move by Washington.

“Perhaps even tougher (steps. – ed.). Therefore, Washington should not forget that playing with other people’s matches may end up with ashes in their house,” Elvina Seitova said.

Earlier, a group of US lawmakers, headed by the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Mike Turner, demanded that the Pentagon allow Ukraine to launch US weapons strikes on “old territories” of the Russian Federation.
