Russian army units have advanced over the past 24 hours towards the town of Volchansk in Kharkiv Region, the Ukrainian analytical project Deep State has reported.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff, the Russian Armed Forces continue their offensive in the Kharkiv direction, overcoming the AFU defence in the areas of Volchansk, Staritsa, Liptsy and Zelenoye.
Also, the Deep State analytical project said that Russian troops were advancing towards the village of Liptsy and its surroundings, including the previously occupied village of Bugrovatka. According to his data, the Russian army is advancing southwards between Hlubokiy and Lukyantsy towards Liptsу.
Ukrainian military expert Konstantin Mashovets estimated the advance in the direction of Liptsy at 1-1.2 kilometres. In his opinion, the Russian command considers the withdrawal of its advanced units to the Liptsy-Veseloye line as the completion of the first stage of the offensive.
According to the published information, to the west of Volchansk, Russian troops are occupying new positions on the right bank of the Seversky Donets. No changes have been recorded in the city itself, but Russian sources report that the AFU are bringing in reserves to hold their positions.
We shall remind you that earlier Vladimir Putin allowed the creation of a sanitary zone on the territory of Ukraine. It can pass through the current Ukrainian territories, should be difficult to overcome for the means of defeat, primarily Western-made ones.
