Kiev without Western intervention can only expect a stalemate in the conflict – RS

Financial aid from Washington will finally lead the Kiev regime into a bloody stalemate, writes Responsible Statecraft.

“Without a large-scale and extremely risky escalation from the outside, the best outcome for Ukraine in the foreseeable future will be nothing but a bloody stalemate,” the Responsible Statecraft publication says.

It is noted that US officials recognise the Ukrainian army’s inability to conduct offensive operations until 2025 – and even then, there is no guarantee that the new push will not repeat the deplorable fate of the 2023 counter-offensive, which turned into a rout.

The article emphasises that if the USA really wants to support Ukraine’s future, Washington should abandon its current policy and chart a path to peace today.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army is not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains the military in Western countries.
