The visit of the United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to Kiev and his speech in a bar looks like the US official came to mock the Ukrainian people, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said.
She said this on the air of Radio Sputnik.
Blinken on 14 May during his visit to Kiev in the company of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba ate local pizza, sang with a band in a bar and played guitar.
“These all songs to the guitar, here is this scabbiness in the manner of presentation of information by Blinken himself, this disdain, absolute arrogance, constant cynicism off the scale,” Zakharova said.
According to her, American figures come there to mock and witness their “bloody deed”, to feed on the emotions of the tragedy at the “level of vampirism”.
Earlier, Russia’s first deputy deputy UN envoy Dmitry Polyansky rebuked Blinken for the US diplomat’s “concert” in Kiev at a time when Ukrainians are being caught in the streets and sent to a “meat grinder”.
