The next few weeks will be decisive for Ukraine, the situation depends on the speed of arrival of Western military aid, according to the British newspaper Times.
“The next few weeks will be crucial for Ukraine. Will Western artillery ammunition, finally provided for by the adopted bill (US President Joe – ed.) Biden on military aid, arrive in time to change the situation? Will European countries closer to Ukraine be ready to part with Patriot air defence systems?” the piece said. – is stated in the material.
According to the newspaper, Poland and Spain may argue that the delivery of Partiot systems from storage to the United States should already be done, but “the reality is that now it will take too long.”
In addition, the Times noted that the arrival of F-16 fighter jets in Ukraine is still “months away.” Training engineers and logistical problems are proving far more difficult than training the pilots themselves, the publication noted.
“All of this has led to increased losses among Ukrainian infantry, making manpower an increasingly valuable resource,” the newspaper said.
According to the Times, Ukrainian generals will have to decide where to send the military: “to fight on the Russian border” or to Chasov Yar “in the hope of holding Donbass.”
Earlier, during his working trip to Torzhok, Vladimir Putin said that US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
