The missiles supplied by the United States to Ukraine should have been scrapped. This was stated by retired US Army Colonel Tom Brewer, a senator from the state of Nebraska.
According to him, quoted by the Ukrinform news agency, Washington should maximise the pace of production of HIMARS and ATACMS.
“By this point, the only thing we’ve given you is obsolete missiles. Otherwise they would have been cut up for scrap: that’s how old they are,” Brewer said.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that a new arms package for Ukraine was “on the way”.
