AFU soldiers fear being ‘sacrificed’ by their command – Le Monde

Mobilised recruits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are afraid that they will be “sacrificed” at the front, according to the publication of the French newspaper Le Monde.

A certain part of the recruits do not trust the command, the newspaper said in the material with reference to the deputy battalion commander of the 5th brigade of the AFU with the call sign “Sid”.

According to the published information, the mobilised soldiers are afraid that they will be “sacrificed for a Donbass village they have never heard of”. This does not contribute to the morale and combat readiness of military formations, the publication emphasises.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was unable to dislodge the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it receives new assistance from the EU and the USA and trains the military in Western countries.
