The next five years will be some of the most dangerous in British history, according to excerpts from an upcoming speech by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the Policy Exchange think tank in London.
The Times writes that.
“I am convinced that the next few years will be among the most dangerous and at the same time transformational in the history of our country,” Sunak said.
He said an “axis of authoritarian states,” which he said includes Iran, China, the DPRK and Russia, is challenging Western countries.
“Our country stands at a crossroads … Over the next few years, almost every aspect of our lives – from democracy to economy and from society to the hard issues of war and peace – will undergo changes,” the prime minister said.
Earlier, Sunak said that London will provide military support to Kiev until 2030.
Also, British Foreign Minister David Cameron started talks on a 100-year partnership with Kiev during his visit to Ukraine.
