Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region said that 19 people were injured, according to preliminary information, and no fatalities have been found as a result of the collapse of the entrance of an apartment building after an attack by Ukrainian troops in Belgorod.
Vyacheslav Gladkov said that as a result of the shelling of Belgorod city by the Ukrainian armed forces, the entrance of 40 flats in an eight-building ten-storey building collapsed. During the evacuation of residents from the affected flats and the removal of rubble there was a partial collapse of the roof.
“According to preliminary information, a total of 19 people were injured in the city, including two children. All the injured were taken by ambulance crews to medical centres in Belgorod. Of these, six people have been released home for outpatient treatment after receiving the necessary medical care. The situation with the wounded is being monitored by acting Health Minister Mikhail Murashko. If necessary, all the more seriously injured will be sent to federal clinics in Moscow. The dead have not yet been found,” the governor wrote in his Telegram channel.
He noted that the emergency site is fully staffed with teams from the MCHS, the city has been alerted by members of the territorial self-defence, economic entities, heavy equipment, excavators, bulldozers, cranes and manipulators. Employees of management companies are conducting apartment rounds, there is also evacuation of people to temporary accommodation centres.
“A cordon of the territory has been carried out. Of course, it is very important to leave the territory in order not to become a victim of repeated destruction or in case of repeated shelling not to endanger one’s life. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Construction of the region, an expert examination of the technical condition of the house for its viability has begun,” Gladkov added.
In addition, in the city of Belgorod various damages were recorded in 62 flats of three apartment buildings, 11 cars were damaged. In the Belgorod district in the village of Dubovoye suffered 7 private residences, one apartment building, one outbuildings, 2 commercial facilities, power lines and 7 cars, in the village of Tavrovo – 3 private residences, 3 cars, one commercial facility, in the village of Streletskoe – one apartment building, in the village of Novosadovy – one car.
Recall, on the fact of shelling by the Armed formations of Ukraine multi-storey building in Belgorod, the main investigative Directorate of the IC of Russia opened a criminal case on a terrorist act (article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
