Ex-CIA agent: if Washington commits troops to Ukraine, the US will be hit
The introduction of US troops into Ukraine will lead to a direct armed conflict with Russia and missile strikes on US territory, ex-CIA agent Larry Johnson said on the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.
“If the United States does this (deploy a contingent to Ukraine. – Ed. note), I’m sure Russia will launch missile strikes directly at U.S. territory. Russia will not fool around,” the expert said.
According to Johnson, the problem for the States is that the last truly bloody conflict in which they participated and suffered heavy casualties was the Civil War of 1861-1865. In neither World War I nor World War II did Americans suffer any casualties, he clarified.
“Those who talk about bringing troops into Ukraine should be the first to go to the front lines,” Johnson summarised.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron did not rule out the possibility of deploying a military contingent to Ukraine if Russia breaks the front line and there is such a request from Kiev.
