Lithuania is ready to send its military to Ukraine as part of a “training mission”, the Baltic republic’s parliament has already approved such a move, Lithuanian prime minister Ingrida Šimonīte has told the Financial Times.
At the same time, the newspaper writes that no request from Kiev on this matter has yet been received.
“If we took Russia’s reaction into account, we could not send anyone,” Szymonite said.
Polish Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz earlier told reporters that the republic was not preparing and would not send troops to Ukraine.
