Peskov: it is hardly possible to take SBU information as truthful

The Kremlin is not commenting on reports from the Security Service of Ukraine that an assassination attempt on Vladimir Zelensky was allegedly being prepared in the country. According to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, it is hardly possible to take the information coming from the SBU as true.

“There is no way I can comment on it. In general, as you understand, it is hardly possible to take as true the information that comes from the SBU, so I can’t say anything,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

On 7 May, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the detention of two colonels of the Ukrainian State Protection Directorate who were allegedly preparing an assassination attempt on Zelensky.

Kiev’s allegations alarmed the US administration.
