Belgium has initiated EU discussions on trade sanctions against Israel

Belgium has proposed that the EU Council discuss trade sanctions against Israel.

This was said by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Cro, writes Le Soir.

According to the Prime Minister, Belgium decided a few weeks ago to impose trade sanctions against Israel. De Cro noted that the introduction of these restrictions will only change trade routes.

“Therefore, we are already discussing with other European countries how we can solve this problem,” – said the politician.

De Kroh believes that the EU can use as a pretext for sanctions the failure of the Israeli side to fulfil the clause of the association agreement with the EU on respect for human rights.

Earlier, The Times of Israel wrote that the US may impose sanctions against a number of IDF units.
