The G7 countries will consider giving Ukraine a 50bn-dollar aid package at the expense of profits from frozen Russian assets, Bloomberg quoted sources as saying.
Bloomberg notes that such intentions indicate the US determination to support the Kiev regime and the desire to put pressure on the EU over the use of Russian assets.
The agency’s sources specified that the negotiations are going hard, it may take several months to reach agreements.
“According to sources, the US is pushing to reach an agreement at a leaders’ meeting in Italy in June. Discussions on this topic were complex and, according to them, reaching an agreement may take months”, – stated in the publication Bloomberg.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called Western ideas of a new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
