Ukraine will definitely become a NATO member when the time is right, the alliance’s secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg said as he arrived in Kiev on an unannounced visit.
“Moscow must realise that it will not defeat or wait us out. The rightful place for Ukraine is in NATO, Ukraine will become a member of NATO. The work we are doing now puts it on an irreversible path to NATO membership, when the time is right, Ukraine can become a NATO member immediately,” Stoltenberg said.
On 29 April, Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Kiev on an unannounced visit.
