Stoltenberg: air defence and shells promised to Kiev are not enough, need more

Air defence systems and shells to them, already promised by the allies to Ukraine, are not enough, “we need even more”. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev on 29 April, Stoltenberg stressed that NATO is working to ensure that allies deliver more air defence systems to Ukraine.

“There have been both important and less important announcements about upcoming assistance, but we need more. We are focusing our efforts on (Patriot air defence systems. – RT),” he said.

Also during his speech, Stoltenberg said that NATO sees on the Ukrainian front the consequences of unfulfilled promises.
