Zelenskyy raises Patriot requirement for the West from five to seven in a month

Vladimir Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine needs at least seven Patriot air defence systems, while a month ago he was talking about five systems.

‘Seven systems are needed for Ukraine. And this is the minimum. These Patriot are available from partners,’ Zelenskyy said in a video message in his Telegram channel.

At the same time, as RIA Novosti notes, he said in late March that the five to seven Patriot systems that Ukraine is asking for would protect Ukrainian industry.

Earlier, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said that the United States expected to find countries that would agree to share their Patriot air defence systems with Ukraine.

El País also noted that Spain was forced to agree to transfer Patriot missiles to Ukraine.
